Protocol for the InBody Testing
To ensure accurate results, please attempt to maintain similar testing conditions:
- Ideally perform the Inbody test first thing in the morning OR refrain from eating or drinking 3-4 hours before testing.
- Refrain from taking diuretics such as caffeine, alcohol, and medications affecting body water before testing.
- Do not exercise, take a shower, or use a sauna right before testing.
- Stand still for approximately 5 minutes before testing.
- Use the bathroom prior to testing.
- Wear light weight clothing (ex. Sports bra and shorts) for the test and remove all metals.
Please note:
- People with electric medical devices such as a pacemaker or any metallic supports should NOT be tested.
- Women who are pregnant are not recommended to do the InBody test.
- Women who are menstruating are not recommended to do the InBody test, as the retention of fluids can compromise the accuracy of the test.
A scan takes just 60 seconds, users simply step on the device and hold the hand electrodes to test, and it will instantly print your results on paper for you to keep. Once your report is printed, a Nutrition by Michelle staff will go through the results with you.
